A: Software as a Service (SaaS) is an industry standard of computer based applications and services that are provided remotely to the user. In a SaaS environment, the user only pays for the number of seats the company needs on a per-user basis. They are not required to purchase the software application as an end user. The cost of software licensing, hardware, IT support, are the responsibility of the SaaS or MSP provider and included in the monthly fee

Q: What is a Managed Service Provider?

A: A Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a data center that hosts software applications that the end user owns. In a hosted environment the user is responsible for the licensing of the software and the MSP is responsible to provide the necessary IT support including hardware that is necessary to provide the software applications to the user and its remote locations.

Q: Why should the SaaS model be considered?

A: A SaaS deployment does not required the usual upfront purchase; installation and additional hardware cost associated with the software purchase or upgrade of an application.

Q: Where are my applications and data located?

A: Our primary data center is located in Evansville, IN in a 50,600 square foot facility on 8.6 acres.

Q: How secure is the data center?

A: The nGenX data center has reinforced, earthquake-resistant ceilings with 12-inch thick poured concrete walls. Our data center is built to withstand a F5 tornado with self-contained and redundant climate control. The data center is managed and staffed 24/7/365 with access control surveillance and redundant power with generator backup.

Q: How often is data backed upped?

A: Data is backed upped daily and stored remotely on a daily basis. Additional backups are available upon request.

Q: What about my data?

A: Your data is your exclusive property and nGenX makers no claim to ownership of a customers data. In the event of the expiration or proper termination of the hosting agreement nGenX agrees to return you applications and data in a commercially reasonable manner. In the event that nGenX Corporation becomes insolvent or bankrupt, the customer shall be granted access to its licensed software and data. The customer is responsible for all hardware software and IT support necessary for the return of the applications and data, setup of such applications and data, and continued maintenance from that point on.

Q: How many applications are software applications available?

A: There are over 300 applications available in either a SaaS or MSP environment. Naming just a few, SaaS offerings included Microsoft Office and Dynamics CRM. As a MSP offering applications such as ACT, Abode, ADP Payroll, QuickBooks and Sage MAS 90 are hosted.
